Wood Texture: Two Signature Techniques -Creative Workshop with Albena Cake Design

This workshop is inspired by the beauty of the wooden texture and the uniqueness and intricacy of the tree bark as a part of it.

Tree Bark is one of the most beautiful aspects of a tree. Different tree species have their own unique mark, offering different colors, patterns and textures. Some are mundane and inconspicuous while others are stunning pieces of art.

The wooden texture as part of the design of a cake can have wide applications. Think cakes for outdoor weddings, cakes for nature-themed parties, or a birthday celebrations for the eco-friendly person, amongst just a few ideas.

In this creative workshop, Albena will teach you  how to create wood texture using covering chocolate or fondant. Albena will show you two of her signature techniques step-by-step while encouraging you to use your own artistic vision and apply it on your project.

2.  Two of Albena’s signature texture techniques:

      - Learn interesting and innovative way to create beautiful wooden texture with an artistic twist.

      - Creating tree bark texture - realistic effect by using only one simple tool.

3.  Colors and color combinations

4.  Cake painting techniques to complete the design and create realistic effect.

BONUS: Albena will show how she creates a Bleeding Heart Flower, a beautiful way to adorn a Valentine’s Day cake or any other romantic celebration cake.

Important: While all techniques and their applications will be shown during the workshop, due to their intricate nature of the work, you may not be able to finish your project withing the time frame of the workshop. Albena will happily give you feedback if you choose to complete the projects on your in your own time.
